beca19cb05 AIX have broken res_nsearch() in 5.1 (5.0 also ?) 
so just don't use res_nsearch on AIX

09af4ce047 (_resolve_debug): explicitly set to zero. this moves the variable 
from bss to data and the dynamic linker on MacOS X/Darwin seems
unhappy with stuff in the bss segment.
