Yup, absolutely support this feature!

I believe https://github.com/librespot-org/librespot is the up-to-date librespot, unless I'm missing something.
Third party spotify clients are a bit chaotic these days, as Spotify recently changed up their entire authentication flow and a portion of the API. It looks like librespot has finally published a new release https://github.com/librespot-org/librespot/releases/tag/v0.5.0 (the first one since 2022), so it might be working again.

So, I would expect both bugs and breaking changes to this type of software in the near future, but it looks doable!
