<div class="body-text">この社会実験は、デパートや高級ブランド店などが並ぶ長堀通から道頓堀橋の北側にかけての区間などで行われているもので、6車線のうち東西両側の側道の2車線の一部が歩道化されています。<br /><br />広くなった御堂筋の歩道にはベンチや花壇が設けられたほか、キッチンカーが出店していて、沿道の企業などでつくる団体が歩行者の流れや周辺の交通にどのような影響があるか調べるとともに、今後のにぎわいづくりの参考にすることにしています。</div>

<div class="body-text">夫婦で名古屋から旅行に訪れベンチに座っていた36歳の男性は「名古屋のメインストリートにはこうしたくつろげる場がなく、休憩したり、簡単な食事をしたりするのに、とてもいいと思います」と話していました。<br /><br />大阪市は、御堂筋をより多くの人が集う空間にしようと、歩道の拡張工事を順次、進めていて、大阪・関西万博が行われる2025年までには今回の社会実験の区間も側道の2車線が歩道になる予定です。<br /><br />社会実験は来月13日まで行われます。</div>
