<div class="body-text">山形市の村木沢小学校では田植えから収穫までの一連の作業を子どもたちが体験する授業を毎年、行っています。<br /><br />この日は先月、稲刈りをしたもち米を脱穀する作業を行いました。<br /><br />参加した5年生の9人は初めに、江戸時代や大正時代に使われていた脱穀の道具の使い方について学びました。</div>

<div class="body-text">このあと児童たちは3つのグループに分かれると、金属の歯が取り付けられた「千歯こき」と呼ばれる道具を使って、歯と歯の間に稲穂の束をひっかけ、力いっぱいに引っ張って脱穀していました。<br /><br />また、「とうみ」という道具を使って、風の力を利用してもみの選別などを行っていました。</div>
